About Me

ABOUT ME

I've spent the last few years reading and writing a lot, trying to be a writer in Toronto. Now, I want to travel around and experience new places before my book comes out next Spring.

I'm planning a month long trip around Eastern Europe to see some of the places my family has spoken of.

PHILOSOPHY

I sometimes wonder if I'm actually looking at things, the world as it is, or if I'm missing something, or adding something that isn't there.

My philosophy is that it's important to actually look.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a room-mate situation that makes sharing a couch difficult. But I won't always live with room-mates: any success here will make it very likely that I will be able to offer more in the future.

Interests

All things art: visual, oral, and aural. I've been writing and publishing poetry for several years now. I want to know more about Eastern European poetry!

I also rock-climb, box and play basketball for fun. I'm a sometimes-musician.

Music, Movies, and Books

I own roughly five hundred books and seven hundred CDs. I don't mean this in some snobbish way; I only mean to say a short list is not possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say going to Thailand and seeing all the shanty towns by the main highway. What was surprising is that it was so surprising. I realized I had very little knowledge of how other people lived.
