ABOUT ME
I discovered about 10 years ago that travel (which I didn't really think I would enjoy) was one of the loves of my life. I love experiencing new places and people.
I grew up in a large family (5 kids+ mom and dad) who didn't have any money to travel and had my first real experience when I was 19. I fell in love. Now I can't get enough. As soon as I return from one trip I'm planning the next. I had my first trip to Europe in 2007 (too bad I didn't know about surfing then). Can't wait to spend more time there and in so many other locations!
I'm now married but don't have any kids and don't know if I will. No pets either. I do have some houseplants but those tend to be pretty low maintenance.
Other info:
Food: Partial vegetarian - I eat white meat chicken, turkey and also fish. Love sweets!
PHILOSOPHY
God first, family second, everything else after that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I finally had my first couchsurfing experience. We've had some very bad flooding here in the mid-west and when attempting to get home from work one night every (and I do mean every) road into the city that I live in was flooded and impassable. Lucklily I was able to connect with Marte (also a personal friend) and she allowed me to couch surf with her. Thanks Marte!
I'm looking to gain more expierences here shortly in my next trip to Europe coming up in September.
Interests
Travel of course! Beyond that, I love to read, scuba dive and watch movies. There isn't much that I don't enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much anything.
I love the Lord of the Rings movies (haven't read the books although I should).
I'm finishing school right now so lets just say that most of my reading has been something like Financial Management or The Principles of Economics. Sorry but these are not my cup of tea. Can't wait until August when I can sell all of these and get back to reading something more enjoyable!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing that I've seen that is amazing to me is the good dynamics of a large family. I'm fortunate to have around 100 family members who live within a short distance of my home. It's amazing what a large family can be when it works together.
