About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make, play, stand on my hands

ABOUT ME

Life is an amazing adventure. I support myself as an artist blacksmith. I'm recently back from six months in Europe, learning and traveling.

I'm a bit of a juggler and acrobat. I've done more in the past, but the blacksmithing is really consuming a lot of my life right now.

Additionally, I'm into science fiction and fantasy. I play roleplaying games and go to conventions.

PHILOSOPHY

play, make things, be creative and intentional, also spontaneous and whimsical.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a long history of lending couches and sleeping on others' couches. It is something that makes life more exciting and interesting, and brings people closer together. I like having a house full of friends. No matter where I live, I will always be willing to take travelers -- I want that to be an important facet of my lifestyle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my pre-CS life I have traveled extensively in the United States, partially by use of couches. I have also hosted -- it's a family tradition.

Through CS I have met some wonderful people in London (most of them from out of the country), and I got to see Riga, Latvia, which previous to joining I never would have thought possible!

Interests

I'm a blacksmith, a science fiction fan, a traveler. I like circus -- partner acrobatics, handstands, juggling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2008, 11 college students in an amateur circus and one big blue school bus powered by vegetable oil. Five weeks from Boston, MA to the west coast and back -- 10,000 miles traveled.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach basic circus skills and basic blacksmithing. Also, creative writing.

I want to learn better blacksmithing techniques, practice circus skills, become a better writer. I want to learn music. I want to learn languages so I can be a better traveler.
