About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy every single moment, to see the world, to share smiles, to find new words, to eat the best ice-creams.
ABOUT ME
I love having fun with my friends, & finding new ones. I'm interested in travelling the world and seeing as many places and meeting as many lovely new people as possible. And I love banoffee pie, and miss it lots whilst I'm away from Blighty. I love reading and writing, playing with words and ideas. I love chatting. My husband Will and I both chucked in our very lovely, but very rat-racey jobs eighteen months ago and are continuing to travel the globe, putting off responsibility (babies, mortgage etc.) for just a little bit longer... we're still kids but we love it. In the past year and a half we've climbed a volcano, white water rafted the biggest drop in the world, been in an earthquake, been in a Bollywood film, walked 1000km across northern Spain, sailed the islands around Auckland, helped at a Cambodian orphanage, held crocodiles, climbed a glacier, dived the Great Barrier Reef, eaten tarantulas, sheep's brains, and wild cat (not all at the same time, thankfully), and gone vegetarian. We've seen some amazing things and met some amazing people and we just can't bear to quite settle down again in England just yet... (besides, it's just so damn cold!)
PHILOSOPHY
Be true to yourself, and do whatever you think you can do because things are so much easier once you start making them happen. Life is short so grab every single moment. Smile and laugh lots.
Whatever you think you can do, and believe you can do, begin it. For action has magic, grace and power in it - Goethe.
We do not inherit this earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our grandchildren - Native American proverb.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A newbie just starting out using CS. A friend of mine swears by it. Can't wait to try it out for the next 18 months or so and then when we're back in the UK in 2011 return the favour for others by lending them our couch and showing them the sights of Brighton, Sussex and beyond.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, i'm a newbie.
