About Me

Hello there.

I'm Justine. I am backpacking alone in South America after finishing my master's in humanitarian project management. So far I've lived in a few different countries (England, Spain, USA, Scotland) and travelled to a few more, and I plan to keep on going! I love traveling but especially when I'm able to stay in the country for a while to have a meaningful experience, immerse myself in the culture, learn the language, meet locals, etc.
Which is why couchsurfing is important to me.
I want to work in the non-profit sector (hence my studies), so I'm passionate about social and environmental issues. I'm also big into sports, hiking, and being active in general.
I guess the rest you'll have to find out when we meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couchsurfing a few times over the past 5 years: in Spain, in Portugal, and now in Brazil.
I love the idea of getting to know someone who actually lives in the city I'm visiting, and sharing cultures. To me, it's what traveling is all about.
Of course, I also like the idea of saving money and thus being able to keep on going as long as possible. I think traveling doesn't have to be expensive and the less expensive it is, the more meaningful the experience gets.

Interests

I like talking feminism, social inequalities, humanitarianism, environmental issues, politics, etc. But I can also chat about lighter topics, such as traveling, music, movies, sports, and much more.
I'm a very curious person so I basically love to learn new things, and will glaaadly listen to everything you have to say about your country, your culture, your language, etc.
