ABOUT ME

Quit a job I didn't care for and moved to NZ. Currently dividing my time between being a nanny and working for a non-profit (also soon to be zoo volunteer!). I am loving NZ and travel any chance I get.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're not happy do something about it, make a change! It's not always so simple, but I spent several years being unhappy with my job and where I lived. I finally took the plunge and make a change (a little drastic as I moved overseas). There are still ups and downs but I realized nothing will get better if you dont at least try. There, I've never had a personal philosophy before but there it is!

I love the idea of this site. Can't currently host with my currently living situations, but still want to be apart of the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the US I went to some meet-up events other couch surfers hosted. Have tried to host/surf in the past but change of plans got in the way.

Being and doing anything outside, exploring NZ, song parodies, Alexander Hamilton, and trying to be funny on reddit.

Music: M. Ward, Avett Brothers, Elliott Smith, Andrew Bird, The Long Winters...although I'm not picky, love listening to new music
Books: Malcolm Gladwell is my favorite, I tend to read a lot of nonfiction

On my 25th birthday I did the controlled base jump off of the Sky Tower in Auckland. That was thrilling.
