ABOUT ME
Well, born and raised in Berlin, half German and half British, I guess you could call me a laid-back, relaxed, cheerful, open-minded bloke with a good sense of humour (that's when I'm in a good mood, which I usually am when travelling! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none, so far! well, at least not via couchsurfing.com...
I lived in a shared flat with 4 others and we had a guest bed where we regularly hosted friends. And of course I've spent some nights at friends or friends of friends myself.
Interests
As you can see I've been around Africa and Asia a bit, not on holiday but mainly for so-called development cooperation. I'm aware of living in a highly unequal world and happen to be born in a "rich" part of it, and I am looking for ways to strive for more global equality/justice and environmental and social sustainability.
I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, practising my English, French, and somewhat rudimental Spanish and Portuguese, so of course I like travelling.
Oh, and I love football (playing & watching, I'm a supporter of FC St.Pauli from Hamburg) and going out for a beer or two, though I probably don't fall in to the category of the "average football fan". St.Pauli is deemed to be a club with a distinct political left and anti-racist identity in German football.
