ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty chill person, I'm always down to learn and try new things, food and meet new people. Food is seriously my favorite thing ever. I like to keep myself busy, I try to always have something on deck. But if there is a beach nearby, I am very happy with just sitting out in the sun and soaking up the rays.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is nothing without happiness.. I'm finding that if you can't be happy within, you can't really be happy at all. I feel that everything in the world is connected, and has some kind of chain effect. Do not harm, and do good whenever you can. What goes around comes around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am brand new to couch surfing, so I don't have any CS experience yet.. Waiting for that to change :)

兴趣

Food. I love to eat everything and try all sorts of new foods. I love music, dancing, and the occasional drink. I like yoga, snowboarding, and hiking. Also, I'm starting really to enjoy surfing. I love photography, art, and learning new things.
I will be scuba certified as of Aug 19, 2012 so I am super excited about that.

音乐、电影和书籍

The most recent book I finished was "Breakfast with Buddha", it was an excellent read. Definitely planning on re-reading it again. Gives great perspective on life. If I were to choose between watching a movie or reading a book, I would much rather read a book because it lets my imagination run wild, as opposed to seeing what someone else imagined.

I love all music. The only music I don't find myself too crazy about is classical, but only because it makes me sleepy. I enjoy it because it is beautiful, but if I am trying to be productive I tend to stay away. I love rock, hip hop, rap, reggae, mainstream, blues, jazz, and country.. I have been introduced to Brazilian music recently, and I enjoy that as well.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A few years back, I went camping in Joshua Tree National Park in southern California. We slept outside, and it was warm enough so we didn't need tents, just a simple sleeping bag. There were shooting stars, and since there was no nearby city life, we could see everything. It was truly amazing.

The most recent thing that has left me speechless was visiting Jaco island in East Timor. It was seriously the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. It was a white sand beach, with little red speckles in the sand. We went snorkeling, and the water was crystal blue.

It is not too often I find myself sitting in a place that looks like it ought to be a postcard..

Oh, and seeing a chicken cross the road for the first time really blew my mind. I never got the chance to figure out why.
