Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

Generally the ones that are visually pleasing and/or are somewhat original in style. Hero, Minority Report, The Matrix (only the 1st vol.), Snatch, Ghost Dog, Dogville, Fight Club, Pi, The Sixth Sense.
I didn't like Requiem for a Dream.

Music:

Classical - medieval and early renaissance, music of 19th and 20th century (Debussy, Satie, Liszt, Chopin, Franck, Panufnik, Karłowicz, Szymanowski, Bartok, Prokofiev, Durufle, Piazzolla, Pärt).
I don't like music of baroque and classicism.

Nonclassical - jazz, electronica, drum'n'bass, reggae, sampled music, lounge/downtempo, trip hop, breakbeat (Nightmares on Wax, The Cinematic Orchestra, Thievery Corporation, Kruder und Dorfmeister, Xploding Plastix, Pink Martini, Massive Attack, Portishead, Nuspirit Helsinki, Skalpel, Smoke City, Royksopp, Freestylers).
Folk - music from India, Scotland, Ireland, Balkans.
Don't like almost all music played with electric guitars.

Books:
Gilbert Keith Chesterton (Orthodoxy), Ernst Jünger (On the Marble Cliffs).
I also like some sci-fi and fantasy books, especially works of Polish writer Jacek Dukaj.
