Overview
About Me
I’m a New Yorker (by way of many places) who’s on a journey to travel around the U.S. after being unexpectedly laid off from my job as an editor in publishing. I’m thinking of this as my healing journey as I take a break from capitalism and the grind of work life to explore new places and meet interesting people.
I love food (especially hole-in-the-walls and my goal is try every cuisine from around world), long walks that turn into unexpected discoveries, and, of course, dogs (I have two back home who I miss dearly, so if you have a pup, I’ll happily be their new best friend).
Travel has always been a huge part of my life. I backpacked solo across Spain, Portugal, and Germany, taught English in Spain and Indonesia, lived in London and Italy, and now I’m excited to add more stories and memories in this new chapter of my life.
I’m a quiet, respectful, and clean guest. While I’d love to hang out and hear your life story over a drink/food, I’m also self-sufficient and happy to give you space if you prefer. If you have any favorite local spot, I’ll be thrilled to check them out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m solo traveling and looking for connection and to make friends in a new city. For me, the best part of visiting a new place is getting to know the people who live there: their stories, culture, and way of life.
I’m looking to break out of the typical tourist experience and dive into real, meaningful conversations over food, walks, or spontaneous adventures.
I love the idea of being part of a global community built on trust, generosity, and kindness, it makes the world feel a little smaller.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Sometimes literally, pasta. I love to cook, my signature dish is pasta pomodoro (the recipe is from my Italian host family in Florence).
I’m a book editor. If you’re into reading, I come with great book recommendations.
As a guest, I’m clean, tidy and will treat your home with respect.
I’m happy to hang out, swap stories, go out together, but I’m also self sufficient and happy to give you space, just let me know your preference and what you expect from guests.
