Overview
About Me
Ohhh summaries. Okay.
What to say? I studied zines and love everything about them, and I'm a writer of short and long fiction, and occasionally freelancing as a designer despite knowing nothing about design, which is puzzling and awesome.
PHILOSOPHY
Be open, be honest, find the balance between appreciation and not taking things too seriously. Try to make connections with people through honesty - those are the best moments, to feel understood, and like you're communicating properly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm aiming to couchsurf at the moment, and I stayed with a few people when I travelled around Europe in 2013.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was in Oslo - met a beautiful host who had incredible knowledge of the city and took me around really cool areas. Introduced me to coffee - of course I drank it before, but I developed such an appreciation for it! Has really made me want to meet up with couch surfers and get a much more comfortable couch for guests when I get back to Melbourne.
Interests
Movies, seeing plays, going to gigs, second hand stores, eating delicious vegan food (I've relapsed to vego and am either gonna go back to veganism or start eating meat - no middle ground), meeting new people, communication, making zines, writing, reading. I'm trying hard to learn German - only been self-taught for a few weeks - and it makes my head hurt in this really new and interesting way, and I love it.

Music, Movies, and Books
i dunno, this kind of stuff seems a little typecast - obviously i love reading, i like live music, movies are pretty good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to India for 5 weeks last year and really loved it. Varanasi was great because the hostel I stayed in was super small and had the nicest manager ever - he drank rum with us on the roof and when it was cold made fires in woks. It made me realise that a city can be beautiful but it's the people you meet there that really make it.
And getting into Spreepark in Berlin and having the whole day to wander around to see beaten up old amusement rides. Totally surreal and really beautiful - I love seeing old buildings/structures where nature starts to take over.
Teach, Learn, Share
I studied literature and love talking about books, especially since I've realised my scope isn't very wide.
Since travelling I've gotten more involved in Australian politics and I enjoy hearing about other countries as well, as being a travellor/tourist you don't get to hear about it in detail. That said, I'm not argumentative, just interested.
