Overview
About Me
Politics student and human, interested in the world and its inhabitants. Ping pong and Proust. If you've got a solution for global warming, that's cool.

Music, Movies, and Books
Dylan, Bowie, Stones, Beatles, Frank Ocean, Fleet Foxes, The War on Drugs, Tame Impala, Tom Waits.. I'll listen to anything if its good. Lately I've started my rookie exploring of jazz and classical music.
Susanne Bier, Joachim Trier, Godard, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Charlie Kaufman. Paris, Texas and the new Blade Runner. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. True Detective, Extras, The Wire. Bill Murray, especially in Lost in Translation.
Lately I've been reading the Underground Railroad, 2666, 1Q84, Anna Karenina and some Proust.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a cross-America journey for six weeks. It was fun.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't really have any skills. I'm a terrible juggler, and only do chords on guitar. Of course I can teach Norwegian to those interested, and I can share whatever might be interesting from my field of study, or some peculiar, inaccurate sociological theory. On occasion I'm funny.
Basically I think most have a lot to teach each other through conversation and discussion.
I'm interesting in learning language, mainly Spanish. Also I'd love it if you had any ideas for how to get the public to care about global warming.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm interested and attentive. I'll attend good discussions, both on common interests and new topics.
When being allowed to enter a strangers home, I'm grateful. I do my best to be a considerate guest, and try to minimize possible inconveniences. That does not mean that I will stay silent and slumped down in a corner, but that I'm independent and keep tidy.
I can do some basic cooking, pretty much centered around a chili/garlic/pepper seasoning, but that's adjustable.
I make a pretty good omelette, and I've got one great burger recipe.
