About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn as much about my own culture as possible, after an amazing year learning those of others
ABOUT ME
I am a math-econ senior from Reed College. I AM CURRENTLY INTERESTED IN CONNECTING WITH FRENCH-SPEAKING PEOPLE TO CONTINUE IMPROVING MY FRENCH.
I love food. I love sharing stories about food, learning how to cook, etc. Studying abroad in Hungary and France has made me realize that 1. I can't live without cheese, wine, and chocolate, 2. Eating is an art/luxury, not a necessity.
I love getting to know someone by sharing a meal, drinking, singing, dancing, and watching movies. Luckily this can happen anywhere, at summer music festivals, cute ruin pubs in Budapest, and most comfortably/frequently in tiny apartments with a glass of wine.
This is just a beginning introduction, if you enjoy what I consider fun as well, then I would really LOVE to meet you!
PHILOSOPHY
I am just going to list interesting quotes as I see them.
Here's the first: "Taste is the soul's smile" - Léo Ferré
And "I have no use for knowledge that has not been preceded by a sensation" - André Gide
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am a college student, which means my participation will be overwhelmingly surfing, not hosting. HOWEVER, when I am able to, I would definitely reciprocate by hosting and showing people around my college town, Portland, Oregon.
Interests
I love architecture, film, music, dance, and people-watching. I am very independent and I was brought up traveling all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everyday something amazing happens... I got stories, so let me couchsurf at your place!
Teach, Learn, Share
One of my many projects right now is to keep a collection of scraps of papers with lists of good music, given to me by enthusiastic and proud French people. At the end, I will make a scrapbook out of them, and perhaps turn this into a statistical analysis project (don't forget I study math-econ). I always enjoy mixing different interests together, this time being music/getting to know people/collecting souvenirs/quantitative analysis.
