I'm Joana from Portugal, I am 26, and I am the happiest when I'm discovering new places, people and their cultures, learning random words in different languages, listening to (almost any kind of) music in concerts and festivals... and when I'm experiencing unknown traditions, getting to know the history of others and sharing my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't yet had the opportunity to host or do Couchsurfing but all my friends have amazing stories from it so I would love to experience it too!

I founded an organisation advocating for more meaningful spaces for youth in society with awesome people!

Teach, Learn, Share

I take all the opportunities to learn and teach. Literally.

Like, I took a bachelor in Languages and International Relations but also explored music, journalism and theatre. After uni, I volunteered abroad and then I managed Erasmus and taught English to teenagers while taking a Masters.

But the best teaching and learning for me is non-formal education and simply informally discovering things through different perspectives.
So I will be glad to share any stories and facts with you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a good Portuguese citizen, I am always glad to be around food and cook some of my favorite dishes to share along with a good conversation and travel stories!
