ABOUT ME

Ioana: I'm spontaneous, present, full of energy, optimistic, imaginative, spiritual person, changing as the wind, in love with french, italian and greek languages, interested in world cuisine and style of life.

PHILOSOPHY

People are beautifull and full of meaning, not for being alive but for having the power and concent to belive; no matter the belife system one shares.
I live my life to learn new things, to evolve myself into something better little by little. I live for the people around me, and try to put at least a shy smile on each persons mouth every now and then. I mostly live this life for others, mostly becose i think that’s what i have to learn in this existence; being egocentric and self-sufficient is a natural talent unfortunately, as so i decided while i was still a little child to change that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love culture in an anthropological sense of the world. Nothing impressed me more then the purity of a few comunities that the occasions made me understand and interact to. The most amazing thing that i saw in this life, after cutting down the high-culture constructs and being totally hones with myself was a shiny afternoon, on a street at the center of a small town here in Romaia. The street was home for a few gipsy families, of a given kind (the gypsy comunities have particularities that relate to the actual geographical location they reside into, as so the name would be irrelevant outside this country’s borders), and on that day everyone was free. They whare neo-protestants, converted recently, and there was a visible struggle between traditions and the new religious beliefs at the level of clothing. The entire street was filled with young girls wearing white dresses with ribbons of white, red and pink colors, representing each girls age and, as tradition dictates, disposition for mariage. Every now and then between the white dresses a man wearing a black huge hat (that distinctely represent that gypsy comunity) was spotted resembling the young early period of Protestantism male clothing.
That moment of that day represented for me the most intense moment I ever experienced visualy. A confruntation between tradition and the real life, between the girls being pure and ready to embrace traditions with the consent and sometimes force of their fathers, and the counterpart, the fathers that dropped all life behind to embrace new belives being unable to dump traditions.
