My husband and I live in San Jose, Costa Rica. I teach English as a second language and he has a sports program for kids in a poor neighborhood and coaches basketball. We have also worked with at-risk kids in different children's homes. We have 3 boys (23, 19, and 17) who live in the United States, a daughter (15) who lives with us in Costa Rica, and have recently taken in one of the at-risk boys (14) we work with here as a foster son. We love to travel and learn about new cultures and hope to explore the world more as our kids leave home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are doing a road trip down the west coast of the US for part of our 20th anniversary trip, and I thought it would be fun to try it.
