I am from Poland. I am extremely curious but a bit indecisive person. I have lots of interest like science, technology, art, sports (recently weight training, boxing and tennis), dance (salsa, bachata and swing) and maybe more. Just tell me something I don’t know much about and I will be so eager to listen. If I know some topic and I feel confident to discuss it, I will. I want all people to feel accepted and comfortable. I love travelling! I have another Couchsurfing account (search Joanna living in Charlottesville - unless it’s no longer visible:( ) but accidentally I paid for the subscription without logging to my old account :(( and I can’t change it and I don’t want to pay again. I also hosted dozens of volunteers coming to my hometown Poznan through AIESEC. I wholeheartedly wish I can contribute to the good in the World. Professionally, currently I am research scientist working at the UCSD in bioinformatics field.

Books? I really like Agata Christie’s crime novels.

I volunteered one month in Vietnam teaching English. I managed to improve English (from zero to hero) of a student who was about to get married with a man who only spoke English and move to English speaking country. She was very worried about it. Now she moved and married and she is managing well and we are still friends.
