About Me

Hello! I am an artist and writer from Ireland and I am currently travelling and backpacking around the world and I am starting in Australia! I love to meet like minded people and engage in interesting conversation and hear their stories and learn their perspectives. I am an outdoors country person who loves nature but loves the culture of the cities too, but really deep down I'm a country person!
I have written my own book and if you're interested I could tell you about it! I am looking forward to meeting like minded people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing because I want to travel and experience the culture of the place I visit. If I travel the commercial way i.e stay in hotels and hang around the tourist areas I am only experiencing a materialistic version of the place I am visiting. However if I meet and stay with people from couchsurfing I will get to experience the real culture of that area - with the hopes that my fellow couch surfers would show me around, tell me stories about the area and introduce me to other local people. I also love to host people from other countries and show them around my town, invite them into my home and share my culture with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite musicians are Lana Del Rey, Perfume Genius, Cigarettes after Sex, Meat load and Celine Dion.
Books - one book that has stuck with me for a long time is a book called North Child by Edith Pattou. It's based on an old Nordic tale where a man is cursed a polar bear and kidnaps a girl and then the girl falls in love with him. It's the most beautiful and amazing story. Movies - my favourite movie is 'Fried Green Tomatoes By The Whistle Stop Cafe'. A classic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with a wild dolphin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about everything. I will listen all day to whatever stories people have to say. I also love Irish mythology so if anyone is interested in hearing some of those stories I would be happy to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am from Ireland, I am passionate about Irish mythology. It is a magnificent, magical, enchanting world that is slowly fading from people's memories. It is one of the richest mythologies in all the world. Ireland is an ancient country with an ancient history and this ancient mythological world is far more fantastic than anything I have ever read about. So, if you would like to hear stories about this magical, mythical, enchanting world then I would be more than happy to share the stories about this ancient Irish world with you.
