Overview
About Me
I am Joaquina, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, (22 years old). I would describe myself as a theater lover, environmental fighter, cultural developed, half time runner. I usually get quiet when I'm dysphonic lol.
I am about to finish my semester at Brussels School IHECS Journalism & Communication, a medium-University- size in the Center area of Brussels, BEL. From January I`m trying hard to get all my french knowledge into practice. Let`s keep going! I love languages but specially French bc it was something pending in my life: my grandma was a French teacher and my mom is fluent but not me.
I had already have the experience of sharing my life with international people back in 2016 (16 years old) when I was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student (RYE) during 11 month in Ohio, USA. Back there I lived with 3 different hosted families around 4 months each while I was doing my last year of High School. During my departure, my Argentine family hosted people as well in the room I left empty! 2 Rotary students from Brazil and France.
ABOUT ME: I studied theatre for 3 years at a small Theatre School in Buenos Aires. I`m currently in my last academic year of Institutional and Advertising Communications at the University level. I love to run long distance and to write short stories. I am veggie!
I am always opened to go out, meet people with a beer or a tea in between, or maybe nothing, because the importance is focus on having a great time rather great food… or not…
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my Erasmus Adventure, I will be traveling Europe as much as I could before returning back to Argentina at the middle of July. I am really into shearing my culture and South American perspective with the people I meet, but also CouchSurfing It is the best option to save money up.

Music, Movies, and Books
International pop music as much as Latin music (reggaeton, argentinian national rock) . However, my fav band is Queen (super influenced by my mom lol) and my best Concert so far was Dady Yankee 2019.
Movies: Seven (1995), La vida es Bella, Bohemian Rhapsody.
I enjoy reading Psicology by argentinian authors as Gabriel Rolon, or Eduardo Sacheri´s novels. He was the writter of the 2º argentinian movie of winning the Oscar "The Secret in Their Eyes".
I prefer movies better than series. I dont usually have time to watch, but I least I keep updated.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiking alone in the valleys of Cordoba, Argentina. South America has the bad reputation of being dangerous, specially for woman. I was confident, the area was nice and people of that region had already treated me so kindly so I after seeing those 3 reasons I jumped into the adventure. I would completely disagree if someone would tell me you don`t learn from experiences you faced.
Teach, Learn, Share
Of course I could teach my 1º language, Spanish, or at least encourage those who know it, speak it. I also know a lot of recipies from Argentina (specially sweet dishes) that I could make before sharing a Mate! (Argentinian national drink). I bring my mate cup and the Yerba to each city I go!
