ABOUT ME

I'm from California but have lived in several states. I took my first trip abroad at age 19 and knew then that I wanted to travel the world. Too bad it took me 5 yrs to start doing it!

For the past few years my pattern has been to work 2 jobs for a year then travel for 6 months. I just got back from a 18 month round the world trip. Can't even describe how much fun that was!!

I just moved to Osage Beach, Missouri and love living on the lake. The life here is pretty chill. Big change from los angeles!!

UPDATE- met my husband in Missouri and now live outside Fort Leonard Wood. I have 4 kids that have slowed my travels a lot. I still have the urge to grab that backpack and go and I do take the occasional trip.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed with a few people but like to use it more for meeting locals that can show me a more authentic experience.

I have hosted several people. Now that I live off of route 66 I get a lot of travelers / cyclists through warmshowers.org

Interests

Travel is a given. I love to scuba dive, surf, snowboard, wakeboard, dance and party. I love to meet new people and experience new places/ cultures.

UPDATE: I now practice yoga regularly and meditate sporadically. I love to spend time with my kids and show them the wonders of new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy going to the movies but have a terrible habit of falling asleep in the theater. Something about that dark, cool room. I like all music but love reggae. I read a lot especially while traveling. I'll read just about any book that is in english. (Hard to come by in some countries)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked up to Everest base camp starting from Jiri not flying in! (22 day hiking trip)
Watched the sunrise at Machu Pichu, Peru!
