The Ideal Couchsurfer Guest:
-Respectful, cleans up after themselves, adventurous, wants to hang, someone who is politically left, a feminist, and/or anti-racist (someone who is "woke). I wouldn't feel comfortable with someone who is a conservative tbh, I've had too many experiences of racism, sexism, etc. when dealing with U.S. conservatives lol. #drumptrump
About Me:
Feminist, leftist, anti-racist, free-spirit, hard partier, and political enthusiast. I love meeting new people and having new experiences. I am currently a U.S. student and researcher of violence prevention work, gender disparities, racial biases, and sexuality.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, study in Atlanta, and I've also lived many places for various jobs, including: Northern California (moved around a lot since it was conservation work, so various cities), Ann Arbor (Michigan), and São Paulo, Brazil.
I enjoy hiking, road trips, bike rides in Atlanta's beautiful Piedmont Park, going to cheap concerts (whether or not I know the band lol).
Shoot me a message if you are looking to make a new friend while getting to know a great city! Please don't shoot me a message if you are just interested in treating my place as a hostel, that's super rude and uncool.
Because I receive so many random, impersonal, and obviously copy/pasted messages, incorporate the word "kimchi" into your message to me so I know there's been some effort...for those who don't know, this is a traditional Korean staple of fermented, spicy cabbage and I ADORE it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I lived and traveled through Brazil one of the highlights of my experience were all the great and interesting people and new friends I met through CouchSurfing. Whenever I went to a new city, I had a wonderful host who offered a home to me, emphasis on the word home, not just a place to rest my head for the night. I truly believe in the spirit of Couchsurfing and the community it can garner. I got to see a city from the eyes and guidance and perspective of a local at each new place I visited and I had incredible experiences that wouldn't have been possible if I had went alone or booked a hostel. I also got to practice my Portuguese!
I want to pay it forward and get to know the interesting and incredible travelers passing through my city and to share my favorite parts of this city. :)
