About Me

Currently, I'm living in Belgium, and I'm not hosting at the moment.
However, I'm available for a cup of coffee or beer.

Feel welcome! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing allows you to have a different perspective in terms of travelling, it promotes intimacy in several dimensions. Consequently, to have a genuine experience the individuals really matters and this is independent if you are introvert or extrovert, or if it is the first time or not. Unfortunately, in the last years, most experiences have been to different purposes like hostel issues, prices, which is fine if you clarify, but very uncomfortable if not and your host or other people perceive that.

Transparency matters and this is actually what is important when you write a request. I really don't mind to host you if the case is related to a shortage of money or if you are coming to a specific event. However, precise that. This is one "mini-block" for a great experience.

The other "mini-block" concerns the possibility to exercise your freedom. Every traveller expects at least two things when they are "on the road": Freedom and surprises (This is my entire view, so please feel welcome to disagree). Couchsurfing is not different, consequently for me is important to eliminate rules and focus on communication and understand what kind of intimacy you can provide to this person to make them to feel free of a limitation and surprised, for overcoming this limitation. Sometimes they just sleep, and it is fine too! hahaha

Finally, my main motivation for joining was to focus on one perspective of multiculturalism, which is the relationship and impression that we have from other people. Understand why there is so much misunderstanding on these points and why the interaction is so superficial were the two main points. In the end, my house became a space for diversity and I had the pleasure to welcome many of my guests back. In fact, what I like most when I travel is to meet locals and have the experience to understand how is the social life in that particular place.
