About Me

I've been living in Portland, Oregon for a year now - traveling around the west coast as much as I can.
I work as a sound engineer at a bunch of music venues here.
The rest of my time is spent playing music, reading, creating art and rock climbing!
I backpack whenever I can.
Very easily pleased, easygoing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's an awesome and community oriented way to travel. I'm excited to meet new people and I find it really impressive theres a community of people just trying to help others travel.
We are a pretty independent society typically. And travel isn't really an exception. I think this is a great way to make more people part of your experience, lean on each other a little more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Make me laugh and stop thinking too much. I'm not a movie buff at all, I really just want something to make me laugh at the end of the day when I'm winding down.
Music: Absolutely anything. Well..except some country. I love going to shows, seeing it in person. I'm most interested in indie, math, and alternative rock.
Books: Make me think. I like to read two books at once. One would be a novel and the other would be somewhat educational. Probably something psychology focused.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked in the Drakensberg. Where the trails aren't marked, if you can even find the trail. Where smugglers carry weapons and packs of attack dogs. Where the lightning storms are beyond belief and make you wish you never went, until they pass.

Teach, Learn, Share

-Teaching is the greatest way of saying "I struggled and fought to learn this thing, here let me give it to you so you don't have to go through all that". Its the way of pushing things forward quickly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm really easily entertained and enjoy doing anything that makes other people happy.
