About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am an amateur photographer wishing to get out to capture the world.
ABOUT ME
I am a fifty something married teacher with 3 grown children. My youngest has MD and is totally dependent for his care on others. My husband and I travel separately so one of us can be home to care for him. Teaching keeps me young... most people are surprised to learn how old I am. I enjoy simple things. I am happier with a hotdog and a coke on a back porch than in a fine dining establishment. I like reading, hiking, photography, and playing cards. I want to travel more, but it is difficult. I hate cold air conditioning! I am easy going...not much bugs me, and often I am oblivious to things that irk other people. I am a spur of the moment kind of person...call me up and an hour later I am ready to do whatever.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't sweat the small stuff. My favourite saying is "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" This is my single step!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Still in the early stages....I haven't participated yet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a little tentative, but willing to take a risk with the right fit. I recently stayed in PEI with a CS host. It was a great experience.
Interests
I enjoy meeting new people and learning their stories. I like classic rock and new country music. I enjoy a good thriller novel-suspense and mystery rather than romance. I like to keep busy. I coach basketball and rugby during the school year and that keeps me very busy!

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch movies much...I am too antsy to sit through them. I'm better watching them on DVD afterwards when I can stop and start it if I get sidetracked or bored. Definitely action and some comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I went to New Orleans. That was an amazing experience and I really want more of them. This summer I am embarking on a solo adventure to the Maritime provinces.
