I'm seeking to better understand people and culture

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Manchester in the North of England and it will always be 'home'. Since then I've spent time working and living throughout all of Europe. Now I'm exploring China for a University Masters / work project. The research is very visual based, so I do take lots of photos - which I LOVE.

I don't take myself too seriously, I'm relaxed, thoughtful and interested in getting to know people and cultures.

I just want to see 'everyday' life and what that means to you.
I'm hoping to meet kind people along the way that would allow me to have a glimpse into their lives. If only for an hour or two (but hopefully longer). And one day will return the favour, if not to you then to other surfers.

PHILOSOPHY

We live in this world and then we leave. We can’t take anything with us when we die. Owning an experience is more meaningful than owning material things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a newcomer to the couch-surfing community but I've always been a couch surfer at heart : )

As soon as I'm back in the UK and settled again I would love to have everyone back to visit me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Limited - although my 53 year old aunty went travelling around the world with it and is now in a beautiful relationship with her Australian, Alice Springs host - so there's a good story!

Interests

Film, documentaries, language, food, cooking, music, travel, people, design, technology, literature - the list goes on... I have many interests and seem to discover more and more as time passes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen real generosity from lots of people and every time I see good natured actions it always amazes me. We're all people of the earth and think we should try to look after each other.
