About Me
Instagram: @JoeLipari
I'm a quintessential NYCer with a never ending lust for life. A yoga teacher, filmmaker, comedian and working artist who just gave up his apartment & corporate day job, to travel the world, write a book and do lots of yoga.
In my off time I love to museum hop, see live shows (music, comedy, sports), eat good food, enjoy good company, read and go on photo adventures.
Has camera, will travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet fellow travelers and pay it forward. I'm hoping new experiences and new people will further open my world, maybe we can teach each other something.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch a lot of TV, but I do love Rick and Morty, South Park, Last Week Tonight and PBS documentaries. Most other shows are guilty pleasures, I indulge less when the weather cooperates with outside adventures.
I am a nerdy cinephile who enjoys good storytelling. I love foreign films, tear jerkers, comedies, super hero movies and anything that isn't an eye roll inducing cash grab made by committee... Favorites? Goonies, Back to the Future, Amelie, Gremlins, Brewster's Millions, Alien, Fight Club, Elf, Peanuts and The Wrong Man. I read 2 books per month. My absolute favorites are The History of Knowledge, The Modern Man in Search for a Soul, Bushido, Design as Art, Jokes and Their Relation to the Subconscious, Osho and art books (all the art books). I also read a lot of comics and graphic novels. My favorites are Frank Miller's Daredevil and Alan Moore's Swamp Thing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done lots of amazing things... the most braggable thing? Stand up comedy was my only job for a few years and I wasn't homeless, I think that's pretty amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a guy with no shortage of things to talk about, I'm light hearted and I love to cook. If you like yoga, I'm happy to teach private yoga in doors or at a nearby park... also, I’m very tidy.
