I've successfully lived with others in various contexts (cooperative housing, renting a house with six other college buddies, cabin life as a camper or counselor, two bedroom apartment situations, Craigslist roommates, etc) so I'm confident I could be a respectful, considerate guest.

I've been living in Michigan practically my whole life and its time to relocate! I'm determined to move out of state by September 2018 but haven't decided where yet. To help me decide, I'm road tripping across the continental United States this May -June to visit places I'm interested in. In some of these places I have friends , but in other places I don't know anyone. I thought Couchsurfing could be an ideal way to meet new people and see areas from the local perspective.
