About Me

Hi, I am Joe.

I am an enthusiastic, cheerful and sociable character who is generally up for anything!

Studying to become an Architect, I am moving to Copenhagen in September to start my Masters. Any chance to get my hands dirty and actually build something, I´m there.

I am passionate about travelling; experiencing fascinating new places and meeting wonderful people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Always looking to meet new people with whom I can share ideas, experiences and good food. I am also keen to improve my language skills and of course have a great time!

I believe that the best way to truly experience a place and its culture is through the eyes of someone who lives there.

Interests

Enjoy walking, cycling, cooking, music and making things, all as part of my attempts at sustainable living.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music, listen to a real mix and am a recent convert to Latino music!
A few favourites: Pink Floyd, DJ Koze, Dirty Projectors, Metronomy, Quantic

Latest books I´ve read: American Gods - Neil Gaiman
The Motorcycle Diaries - Che Guevara
The Life of Pi - Yann Martel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a palm tree in the Colombian Amazon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always keen to learn and share new skills.

A native speaker, I will happily exchange my English for other language learning! I spent many years at school learning French and have been practising my Spanish during my 7 month trip round South America.

I am very interested in sustainable living, and have been to a variety of workshops learning construction, craft, and permacultural techniques though I still have much to learn!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I love cooking, and eating even more so, sharing recipes and culinary traditions would be awesome.

Always up for sharing drinks and stories too!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Thailand
