I am a keen traveller and about to embark on the most ambitious trip of my life by travelling around the globe with my girlfriend of 7 years. I love meeting new people especially from different parts of the world and have been lucky enough make friends from Australia, USA and a few places in Europe. It is a dream of mine to travel the world and hang out with local people to really experience what a country is like, not just what you see on a brochure or TV (I want the real deal). I play all kinds of sports and besides travelling this would be my biggest passion when at home, I love to play Cricket and played for my local club every Sunday during the summer. Football is up there as one of my favourites also, I have been a Chelsea FC supporter since I was 7 years old and have fond memories of going to watch them play all over the UK and especially at Wembly in the 1997 FA Cup final!!
When i'm not running around or at work I love to chill out with a beer or glass of wine especially when the weather is great ( which isn't a lot of the time as the British weather is not the best most of the time ). When I'm just too tired a night in the house cooking with my Girlfriend is the best way to relax. Italian cooking is the best thing ever! I love the simplicity of the ingredients and the big flavours!

I'm about to fulfill my dream of travelling the world and I'm thrilled to be able to do this with my girlfriend of 7 years. I've always been fascinated by other countries and cultures and believe there is so much to learn by getting out there and meeting different people. I don't want to be stuck on this tiny island called the UK watching the beautiful world on the TV. I consider myself lucky to have experienced the generosity of people from different countries (I was thrown a 19th Birthday party by a group of Americans after having known them for only a couple of weeks) and when I heard of CouchSurfing from a friend it sounded perfect! I like the idea of meeting the people who live and work in the countries I am going to visit as I believe they have the real knowledge of what is good to do, what to eat, where to go and I believe this would enhance my trip.

I love all kinds of music apart from the really heavy metal stuff. Ed Sheeran is among my favourite current artists but I also like listening to all the classics from the 90's, 80's and even some music from artists such as Elvis and Sinatra.
I'm sorry to say I don't read a lot of books but try to tell myself to read more.
I am more into movies and love going to the cinema, its hard to pick my all time favourite movie but Top Gun is probably the stand out but i do love the most recent Marvel movies. I tend to stick to Comedies or Action movies and stay well clear of horror movies! I don't understand why people pay to be scared or in the case of some films bored!!

Saved enough money to acheive my dream of travelling around the world.
I have now seen one of the 7 wonders of the world, The Taj Mahal, at first light and it is by far the most amazing building I have ever seen!
I'm now looking forward to writing more things here whilst my trip continues.

My girlfriend is from Poland so I have been trying to learn Polish but it has been quite difficult. It hasn't stopped me from taking part in conversations with her parents and Brothers and Sisters but it usually ends up with me being tricked into saying something dumb, haha!
I don't know what I can teach in return but I always seem to find something to talk about or show to others; especially when it comes to travelling. I'll always teach someone how to play cricket if there interested and that goes for anything else I can do/teach.
I love to take on information so anything anyone has to offer or teach I'm all ears and ready to learn. It may help me win a pub quiz one day? :).

I would be happy to cook one of the recipes i have perfected and learn new ones from any host who is willing? Both me and my girlfriend are incredibly clean and tidy people, I don't like clutter so there will be no issues with this. I have already travelled a fair bit and love to tell people of the places i have visited, sometimes to the point where I find that I'm repeating myself.
Ultimately I hope that I can have a fun and memorable time with any host who kindly takes me in and that I make another friend.
