I am a designer from the USA passing through Europe by interning at various studios for most of 2017. I'm completely new to couchsurfing, but excited to stretch myself and learn as much as I can about the cultures I'll encounter and the hosts I'll stay with!

I'm a huge cinephile. Some of my favorite film directors are: Lars von Trier, Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick, Chris Nolan, and Hayao Miyazaki. My recent favorites include: Enter the Void, Melancholia, Eyes Wide Shut, Paprika, Ghost in the Shell, The arrival, and Moonlight

Teach, Learn, Share

Being extremely passionate about design, I'm more than happy to share my experiences about the field, where I think things have gone wrong, and what I love about it. I've worked with huge tech companies, and now Scandinavian furniture and housewares, so have quite a breadth of experience.

I also used to teach drums so I can definitely spread a little of my obsession with J Dilla and how hip hop rhythms are breaking the mold of contemporary jazz — no, not like Whiplash.
