About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To take one step after the other in discovering the world, people of everywhere and above all, myself.
ABOUT ME
I live in Quebec, right next to Ottawa. I studied in fashion and costume and in psychology. I started my own small business in costume and corset design. It is still very small but makes enough to live and gives me the opportunity to do what I like and to have a flexible schedule.
I also now work as a ballroom and latin dance teacher, which I love doing!
I spent a year in a student exchange in France and had the occasion to travel quite a bit. I went in Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, England, Germany, Italy, Denmark and Morocco.
As for a description of myself, I can say that I am an easy going and open minded person who is very curious and interested in pretty much everything. I would like to travel a lot and discover many cultures, meet a lot of people. I enjoy having company and chatting, learning more about everything! Oh I am also quite a bit of a geek!
PHILOSOPHY
Be curious about the world, love learning and challenge yourself and you will be able to grow a lot!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed a few times already and plan on couchsurfing much more in the next few years. I might be able to host at the moment, but I am not often home unfortunately. I should be moving this summer downtown Gatineau (so 5 minutes from downtown Ottawa and the Byward Market) and will more than probably be able to host at my new appartment! I love to exchange with people from different countries, which is why I love to travel, and I like to cook a typical Quebec meal as a thanks for the hosts that I meet!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed a couple of times while I was in Europe and have hosted a few times both while I was in France and back in Canada.
Interests
I have interests in a lot of things, from human relations, to arts, to sciences. I love dancing, reading, cooking and outdoor activities in general, to name a few. I mostly like to learn things and to listen to what people enjoy.
I am, of course, passionate about costume design and historical costumes. I love creating and paying attention to the small details that make the whole complete!
I also tend to be quite a bit of a geek. I love cosplay (again, costumes!), animes and mangas, boardgames, videogames (although a lot of them make me too nervous to play them unfortunately :/), etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like pretty much anything, although not a big fan of heavy metal music wise and of horror in general.
I love alternative music and recently discovered a soft spot for icelandic music.
I am currently reading The Complete Robot serie from Asimov. I didn't think I was a huge fan of sci-fi but I do have to say that I am starting to like it more and more after reading a few really good authors. I usually like books and movies that leave you thinking.
My favorite book is The Little Prince from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and I am a fan of Érik Emmanuel Schmitt's work. I generally enjoy reading all the classics in litterature too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The 2 things I've loved the most of my trips are the sea (I've seen the Baltic sea and the English Channel) and the moutains (The Alps and the red mountains in Morocco).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a costume/fashion designer, pattern maker and seamstress and don't mind teaching a few things to those who would like to learn.
If you rip you clothes or loose a button while travelling, I will gladly help you repair them! ;)
I can also teach a few steps in ballroom or latin dances if anyone is interested in it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and will gladly cook you a typical canadian meal if you'd like! I also enjoy going out, conversing and trying out new experiences. I love to hear about people's life stories and experiences and to share mine.
