About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live and learn

ABOUT ME

People have described me as fun, easy to get along with, interesting and open-minded. I would agree with all of them, and would cheekily try and sneak in modesty as a description.

PHILOSOPHY

My favourite quote seems appropriate here -

"€œSo many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." Chris Mccandless

Don't be boring. Try new things. Never say no.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to get involved in Couchsurfing. I made an account in 2008 and completely forgot about it. I lived in Rome and offered my couch there. I'm not always able to host travellers when I'm living in Malta but I do my best. I was living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia but now I'm back based in Vienna, Austria. I'm always up to meet any travellers in this beautiful city for a walk/drink/meal and so on. I'd be exploring just as must as the guest, as I feel that I barely know Vienna.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made an account in 2008. Forgot about it until 2013. Trying to make up for lost time. Met some travellers whilst living in Rome and really enjoyed it. Tried to do the same whilst in PP and Malta.

Interests

I've done a bit of travelling in East/Northern Africa, China, and South East Asia and cannot wait to do more. I've felt happiest whilst backpacking and cannot wait for the next adventure and new people to meet along the way.

I find other people's company fulfilling so I spend a lot of my time out and about. You can always learn new things from new people so I do my best to socialize and experience new things.

Other than that - I enjoy using the internet, camping, eating to my heart's content and enjoying stimulating conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my all time favourite films has to be Into the Wild. There's something about a film being based on true events that i find easily-relatable and therefore I enjoy it more.

Music - currently going through an electro swing phase, though I do enjoy the classics and so on.

Books - Am I cheating if I mention Into the Wild again?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise at Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania.

General trekking in Morocco (hugely underrated country in my opinion).
Climbing Mount Batur in Bali, Indonesia.
Living in a beautiful country like Malta ought to be written here also.
