HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking to try this surfing thing out for the first time! I'm excited and I love the idea of it all... and reading people's profiles just makes me smile. This seems like a wonderful community of people! I love meeting new people and have made hundreds of new friends along my journey.

Interests

Spirituality, competent in a dozen or so meditation techniques, Kung Fu, my cute pups, gymnastics, working out, eating great food, living a healthy lifestyle, new friends, old friends, any outdoor activity, surfing, riding motorcycles, skydiving, scuba diving, I love sailing but I don't know how to do it, photography is a passion, writing fuels my souls. I mentor and counsel others, helping anyone is my purpose in this life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I married my soulmate, Jessica Marie, was with her for over 12 years until she passed in 2014 and I have grown so much through that loss and the journey as I undertook traveling the world, volunteering, trekking, healing, learning, understanding, and so much more which has molded me into the man I am today.
Here are a few cool things I've done though:
-Scuba dove the Great Barrier Reef
-Sky diving in the midwest
-Road a motorcycle through The Andes arriving just outside of Machu Picchu, which I then hiked.
-Got married on a mountain overlooking the Pacific in Costa Rica
-Lived in Chicago; Salamanca, Spain; Nosara, Costa Rica, Minori, Italy; San Diego currently.
-Self published 2 kindle books and I'm editing my very first novel!!! Woohoo! 4 year project, Eek.
-I am fantastically close with my entire immediate family.
-Worked very hard to develop and maintain extremely close and long-term (20-30yrs) relationships with a fantastic group of friends.
-Visited a fair amount of places all over the world, over 30 countries, lived in a few too.
-I help others to change their perception of their existence by mentoring or counseling them depending on a few variables. This, this I truly love.
-I read a book a week, love a good hammock nap and I can't help but smile with delight around pets and children.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach self defense; basic wing chun kung fu. Focusing now on how to deal with some of life's hardships, my take on spirituality, faith, how to tumble, I can teach someone all about watches too! Dental lasers, holistic cancer treatments, running a business, meditation for sure! I can teach someone how to liberate themselves from suffering, pretty rad if ya ask me;)
