About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay for cheap with people more interesting in me.

ABOUT ME

I'm a recently graduated college student with a semi-permanent programming job looking to explore as much of the world as I can before the doldrums of middle age. I like anything outdoors that doesn't require a carabiner (yet) but prefer to do stuff in cities like music, dancing, storytelling, etc... I've been dancing tango for one year and a few others off and on and am always looking for new dances to try. If I had to spend my time doing anything it's learning a new culture through all the inlets afforded to me. Oh, and I'm very sarcastic and esoteric but I try to avoid pedantic situations.

PHILOSOPHY

I live because I don't know a better alternative to living. I've spent a lot of time reflecting on my life and others and feel that even if we're all connected, humans' brain power is too small to not step on someone else's feet. That's why we laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a nice looking couch and hope to couchsurf when I start going on vacations again. I'd be willing to show someone around what I know of Seattle but that is a very specific view.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

People staying at our house who were 'eccentric' by my standards though totally tolerable. New people that respect others are always fun puzzles.

Music, Movies, and Books

Alternative, Classic Rock, Bad 80's, Classic Movies, Overly Thoughtful movies (Rushmore), James Joyce, The Great Gatsby, Three Cups of Tea, Thus Spoke, Zarathustra, and anything done right in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fasted for 2 days after doing Ramadan. Probably started 10 hobbies that I gave up on in the same year. Taken a 4 day bus trip after a two week vacation in Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

Western Philosophy and it's relation with Christianity, Dancing (Leading and Following), Web Pages, Unnecessary trivia, Connections to more normal people.

I'm personally over-interested in languages and cultural customs, but if it's fun and doesn't get me in trouble I'll do it.
