ABOUT ME

I'm a 34 year old guy with moderate travel experience hoping to expand that in the years to come. I am an artist and love art of all ranges, visual, performance, and literary. When traveling, I love to get to know a place through it's art, architecture, and history. I'm a foodie that enjoys cooking, eating, wine and beer, and have become mostly vegetarian in the last year or so, but like to stay flexible and open to new culinary experiences. I grew up in Montana, in a small farm town, where I learned a love of the outdoors. I love to hike mountains and forests and occasionally wouldn't mind fly fishing a stream once and a while, though the chance rarely come up these days. I am talkative on subjects I am passionate about and enjoy learning from people, although I prefer the company of a few people over a large group.

I like both active and contemplative pursuits. When traveling, I like to observe the small things. I love to take a break in the day just to reflect, then back to the action. I'm not afraid of a "tourist trap" - that's its own unique cultural activity that can say a lot about a place- but I love to feel embraced by a place as though I'm a resident.

Intereses

In addition to art and culture, I enjoy brewing beer, wine culture, and food. I do a lot of home projects and particularly love gardening and landscaping with a focus on green gardening, like native plants and rain gardens, etc. I love animals and hanging out with my dog and his friends. I grew up riding horses and if I have the chance like to climb on one. I wish I could read more. I enjoy hearing about people's lives and their perspectives.

Música, películas y libros

A long list, but currently the majority of my entertainment time revolves around Dr. Who (late comer). I listen to all kinds of music while I cook. Last books I read all revolved around the study of natural perfumery (I like to really dive deep into a subject if it I find it interesting).

Algo increíble que he hecho

In my home state, after a trip out of town, it was common to drive back into my mountain valley on a road that would go up to the precipice of a large hill. Upon the top, before descending down into the valley, the mountain vista towered over horizon, snowcapped even in summer sometimes. I took this road a thousand times growing up, and this scene never got old.
