ABOUT US:
Irene: You will find me, most of the time, recording something with my video camera or cooking a (hopefully) delicious meal. I am also a 'plant-hoarder'. That's why you possibly will see me in our garden, taking care of my beautiful green babies. I am also really interested in learning about sustainable fashion and the low-waste lifestyle. I'm self-employed, so I have the privilege to manage my own time, and that's the reason my schedule is so different every day. I love all animals, music, horror movies, good coffee and learning about other people’s travelling experiences.

Joel: I love simplicity, Coffee, ceramics, photography, naturism, do some music, and eat chocolate.

Irene: Me encontrarás, la mayor parte del tiempo, grabando algo con mi cámara o cocinando una comida (con suerte) deliciosa. También soy una 'acaparadora de plantas'. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even when one of our purposes in CS is to, basically, give others a place to stay, we also expect a cultural exchange with our guests, meaning we like to share meals, stories and experiences with the people who come around. I would love to listen to you and what you have got to say! And because of this, we don´t like our home to be treated as a hostel.

Life has given us the opportunity to travel and to meet wonderful people from all over the World, who shared their places, their knowledge and even their food with us, so we want to give that back to others. It's nice when someone you don´t know makes you feel at home.

We believe places are built by their people, not buildings.

Incluso cuando uno de nuestros propósitos en CS es, básicamente, dar a los demás un lugar para quedarse, también esperamos un intercambio cultural con nuestros huéspedes, es decir, nos gusta compartir comidas, historias y experiencias con las personas que se acercan. ¡Me encantaría escucharte y lo que tienes que decir! Y por eso, no nos gusta que nuestra casa sea tratada como un hostel.

La vida nos ha dado la oportunidad de viajar y de conocer gente maravillosa de todas partes del Mundo, que compartieron sus lugares, sus conocimientos y hasta su comida con nosotros, por eso queremos devolverle eso a los demás. Es agradable cuando alguien que no conoces te hace sentir como en casa.

Books: I love literature (I have a vast collection of books) but my favorite autors are Haruki Murakami, Virginia Woolf and Jane Austen :)
Movies: I could watch a classic horror movie almost every day.
Music: I live for 80's music and I also listen a lot of trip hop, synth pop, indie pop/rock and other things nobody else like.
