About Me

The 'About Me' section on any site that I subscribe to or join as a member always somehow triggers the deeper, but related question 'Who am I?'; my interests and profile information may be a significant and meaningful expression of who I am, but in the end this section is one which I would not like to fill with a brief and limited description about myself.

However, to start off with a basic idea about myself, I would describe myself as someone who loves to think about a lot of things, have good, heartfelt conversations and enjoy life in its mystery and wonder. A deeply introverted individual, I often get occasional bursts of extroversion and find it easy to connect with people sometimes, but most often with difficulty. An avid reader, a connoisseur of fine foods, an ardent musicophile and a sports and fitness enthusiast would be far-fetched and immodest descriptions about myself although I love reading, savouring new cuisines, going crazy over many genres of music and keeping myself healthy and active. I enjoy travelling, taking in new sights and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing mainly as a means to connect and interact with people from different parts of the world, to make great acquaintances and possibly future friends (Who knows how life works or how things turn out?)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing which could easily pass for one of my greatest adventures is a cycling trip that I undertook with a group from Manali to Leh in India despite having almost never cycled before. I ended up not being able to complete the trip because I fell off my bike going at a high speed downhill on a ragged, bumpy road and injured myself. And yet, I couldn't stop smiling after the accident and I've never feel more excitement!! I still ended up finishing around 70% of the trip and witnessing some amazing natural beauty. I guess it was the closest I've come in a long time to feeling like a child again: a curious, excited, carefree child.
