关于我

CURRENT MISSION

I travel to learn about other cultures and myself! I write plays inspired by my thoughts and experiences while travelling. I want to save the world.

ABOUT ME

I have a degree in acting, and spend most of my time doing that, writing, or composing for theatre. I've played the piano since I was seven, and like to improvise on it.

I really like hiking. And dogs. And frisbee. I'm a pretty good cook. I'm a vegetarian 5 out of 7 days. I'm an environmentalist. I've been playing a lot of Starcraft lately.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel obligated to try and save the world, or at least change it. I'm still working out exactly how to do that. I think I'm on the right track with my career as an artist. It helps me understand different people, and appreciate their lifestyles and points of view. I believe in compassion.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was caught in a brutal storm while tramping through Tongariro National Park in New Zealand. I was alone - trying to come down off a ridge to ground level - which is still just exposed rock and desert - when my pack cover blew off for the third time.

I was so frustrated I started yelling at the storm. After a few seconds, it was obvious that that wasn't going to help. So I caught up with the pack cover put it back on, and kept heading down the ridge.

A couple hours later I made it to a hut - a refuge for a few hours. I dried my things by the furnace and ate lunch.

Why is this story worth telling? It was a pivotal moment of my trip! It was so difficult and frustrating that I felt totally at the mercy of the world, and therefore totally at peace.
