About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep my sanity :D

ABOUT ME

I think that I'm an open-minded and welcoming person. I'm happy to share what I know with others, and to admit what I don't know and want to learn. I love challenges and I'm often a quiet leader. I love a good laugh, however I don't provide many jokes myself. I tell myself that if I'm nervous or scared about doing something new, I have to do it, because it's a sign that the benefits will be even better!

I'm from a small town outside Ottawa, but currently in New Zealand. I also want to travel to keep up with family and friends moving everywhere around the globe!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lived with host families in other countries and it sure is the way to travel! You become privy to the everyday life and the culture of the people and discover the humanity of a country or region.

I host and I surf with CS! I've helped people find a place to live in Ottawa. I spread the word about Couchsurfing to friends and family, so they can also enjoy the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Watched the sunset fall over my igloo in the peaceful arctic, with nothing else in view but fields of snow and ice. (...no I don't always live in an igloo. It was a weeklong trip to the Canadian arctic.)
2. I organized a monthlong trip to Amazonian Peru for 11 highschool students from my hometown. Seeing the shyest, almost mute, teenager of our group approach local musicians and ask them in Spanish if they could teach him how to play brought me tears of joy.
