I'm a West coast transplant, doing a study in yeast chemistry. About to travel down the coast in a van with a fellow chemist.

Ok, that's a fancy ay for saying I'm drinking my way down the coast with federal funding and earning college credit to do it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent a lot of time relying on the kindness of others for a place to sleep, I damn well better repay it. My doors are nearly always open.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I slept is some odd place. Porches, patios, couches, floors, beds, roofs. Perhaps the worst free night of sleep I ever had was on a hardwood floor with no pad. I had a pillow and a towel, and it was cold.

I never say no to a live bluegrass or folk show, especially if there is beer involved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went to a coffee shop that served waffles, micro brew beer, and had free wifi. I stayed for a few hours.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know my knots. I taught rope work in a camp for a few years. I'll teach anybody how to tie cool ornamental knots or good working knots.

I can also fix your bike.
