ABOUT ME

I just graduated from The University of Missouri in Columbia, MO with a B.S. in Mathematics and minors in Sociology and Spanish. I went to college from 2006-2010. I landed a job as an English conversation assistant in Spain for the 2010-2011 school year. I now reside in Pontevedra, Spain and hope to get some intense traveling done on the weekends.

PHILOSOPHY

Right now I am trying to break all of the negative preconceptions that I have. I am just trying to try new things and see if I enjoy them or not. There is no reason to not try things because you only have a short time on this earth.

I like living because it's fun. I love enjoying all the highs and I dislike the occasional lows just like everyone else. I also know that the lows are part of life and overcoming them is a great feeling. There aren't too many things I wont try, but I will be the first to admit there are a few things out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had couchsurfers stay at my house in Pontevedra, Spain. I also know of a few places in St. Louis and Columbia, MO where there might be some couches to stay on. I'm still looking to get my first couch surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hope to get a start couch surfing by visiting someone in Barcelona for 3 days and see if I enjoy it or not. Everyone has to start somewhere. I have yet to host anyone, but will usually be willing to do at any time.

Interests

I am interested in playing music with other people. I play the drums and I also play a little guitar. I have been playing drums for almost 12 years now and I have been sort of playing guitar for 2-3 years. I love playing music and I also love listening to it.

I'm trying to learn the Spanish language as of right now. I'm practicing it daily while I live in Spain.

I'm very interested in Skateboarding. I like to skateboard. I'm not very good at it, but I can hold my own. It's just something I have fun doing. I have a lot of friends from doing it and they are all great to hang out with.

I'm currently trying to write two books. I don't think I'm that great of a writer. I'd probably say about a 3/10 where a 1 is someone who can't write at all and a 10 being someone like Vonnegut or Shakespeare. I don't think my storytelling abilities are where I'd like them to be and my vocab isn't at that great of a level. I might be a little hard on myself, but sometimes it's necessary.

I like doing things that I usually don't do. I like to try everything. I started painting over the last year and enjoyed it, but I don't do it regularly.

I also like to keep myself constantly busy. I am trying to do something all the time. However, I do like the occasional time alone and enjoy relaxing.

I love sports and am very interested in The St. Louis Rams football team, St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, St. Louis Blues hockey team, and the Mizzou Basketball and Football teams. My favorite sport is probably college basketball. I really enjoy watching that on TV.
