About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

After studies in Vilnius academy of fine arts I came back to live in my hometown. And jumpt into creative education. Spend here about 4 years and now I jumped into wider world to learn about creative communities.

Once i wanted to run from here as soon as possible and become world traveler. And still want, but this time not for escape:)I think there is two type of meeting world: one, when yourself is on the road discovering and meeting people, other when you stay at one place, as i am now, and make situation when world is coming to you.

While i was staying at my hometown Utena i was interested about town history from BC till now. I liked going around searching secret nature places, Then to bring friends here to be their guide through my own created trip.

And now I am in Scotland, Edinburgh. I came here througth EVS program (European volunteer service) for one year - from September 2015 to September 2016. In few months I got into exploring this city, searching secret corners, participating in art walkings, discovering new places and new myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Not very fan of writing personal philosophy. I don't believe in naked sentences. Philosophy you can find in context of my other texts here. It is the way person write and talk about things - philosophy is in between words.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A bit of experience while traveling with friends in early 2008, till now i participate like host or guide.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First experiences was not easiest for me, because I am naturally quite shy and a bit introvert when encounter new people. But i am all the time like to put myself into challenging situations. Because meeting people, having different kind of conversation, being more easy, relaxing person - i learn so much from couchsurfes all the time when i make step into it.

Interests

I love to learn different things that brought me to a person with more and more hobbies. Once i work in Chinese tea house, while studying i was passionate about modern dance, joga, ballet, now i am into musical instruments and learning how to make at first simple ones. I play with guitar, mostly like to play reggae rhythms and sing Spanish Manu Chao songs.
Officially i do have diploma for ceramic and sculpture specialties. But really from ceramic i love archaic forms, and love making in old way - firing in a pit as people did few thousands years ago. I like oppositions that's why at the same time I am interested in performance art. Mostly doing video performances.
And here few more interests:
reading, dreaming, drawing people, indigenous cultures, zapatista movement, nature, "walking as an aesthetic practice",konokol, ...
