Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new in the community. right now I'm participating by having my friend staying at my couch for the last two months. My bedsofa is always open for people that I know or anybody else that needs a place to stay.

every week, I sleep at somebody else's place at least once

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once went to Gilgit, a small city in the mountains in the north of Pakistan in 2005. when I arrived I realised that a smaller civil war between two religious groups. was going on there. nothing had been said in the news about it so ad no idea that a war was going on in that region. all hotels were closed and there were guards with kalashnikovs everywhere. It was nine o'clock in the evening, dark and around zero degrees centigrade outside. i had no idea where to stay.
I had met some people from the south of the country on the bus. they were doing a religious journey, a tablik, to the mountains to meet people sharing their faith. my new friends invited me to stay with them in the mosque where they would live during the next couple of days.

I stay with them in the mosque for three days. my time there was amazing. they treated me with a lot of generosity. I was given a loca dress that I still keep. they also bought special food for me because they were afraid that i woudn't appreciate their delicious curries. it is wonderful to know that when you end up in situation where need a helping hand, there is usually one there for you.

I have stayed on many other peoples' couches. friends' couches and strangers' couches. couches in my home country and abroad. I love that this possibility exists. you meet so many interesting, chilled out people

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music. when it comes to moves, I prefer either more complicated well-played movies, the type you see on the film festival in Cannes maybe or easy action movies with simple stories and a lot of explosions.
on my free-time I read mostly fiction. I like when the author makes up a story more than when he tells a true story.
