CURRENT MISSION

Love traveling abroad, but also my home country and surroundings where I live. Have a steady job that gives money and free time do some smaller and maybe one longer trip per year abroad. But at some points I have been able to take longer time off and do more extensive trips.

ABOUT ME

I am a calm, friendly and curious person. Well educated and traveled, but humble and simple I hope. Rather spend time and money on experiences and good relations than materialistic things, although I appreciate a comfortable life on a daily basis.

PHILOSOPHY

Want to fall asleep as many nights as possible in with a smile on my face. During my life I have discovered difficulties and hard work is a natural part of life, but the smile comes when I meet new and friendly people or my closest family and friends, when I learn and understand new things (especially when traveling) and if I try to be generous to people, nature and earth.

Interests

I love to learn, experience and reflect on life, humanity and the world. Through traveling or meeting likeminded people and if not possible, through reading or TV. I really like to come to totally new places, near or far, that I know nothing about!
At the same time I really appreciate the total opposite. Calm life at home close to family, friends, garden and my cat.
When I do not travel or meet friends and family: golf, literature, museums, movies.

I like reading and seeing movies. All kinds really if the quality is good and suits my taste which is very broad from biographies, adventure, history, sci fi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being face to face with our closest relatives in nature; mountain gorillas in Uganda and orangutans in Sumatra, Indonesia.
Spending a week in a remote rural village in Togo hosted by a big family experiencing a totally different, simple way of life and mutual curiosity and warm feelings.

I love the idea with coachsurfing since in my opinion meeting new people and learning about their placees and views is the most rewarding part of traveling.
