ABOUT ME

In the past 3 years I have lived in upstate New York, two cities in Ecuador, and Boston. About to embark on adventures in California, Costa Rica, and South America, I guess I'm what some might call "geographically schizophrenic." I like to travel, read, dance to bass music, salsa and 90s hip hop, hula hoop, run, do yoga, enjoy nature, and write about/contemplate the (divine & complex) nature of our existence. I enjoy participating in random acts of kindness and I'm all about bright colors and silly shit. I enjoy hysterical boughts of laughter, genuine human connection and sunshine. I have worked as a florist, teacher, paralegal, tutor and a lifeguard. Variety is the spice of life.

Cuando hablo en español, todo está un poquito mejor... ando viajando mucho al america del sur y aunque mi cultura nativa es de los eeuu, una parte de mi alma se queda en la tierra latina.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to embody my ideals of compassion, positivity, social justice and constant inquiry through a practice of love for self and others, constant laughter and hilarity and mindful reflection. I believe that through conscious travel, cross-cultural exchange and interpersonal interaction and growth we can break down boundaries to expose our innate, empathetic and cooperative human selves, individually and communally. I strive to do all of this, sometimes succeed, and seek to view everything as a miracle while also not taking myself or others too seriously - life is just too short.

Given the fact that I don't have my own place, I can't host as of yet - though I plan to once I get a place, probably by years end.

Ando viajando por Peru y Bolivia y prefiero pasar y conocer con gente de los paises mismos, no con otras turistas. Siempre es mejor saber y conocer así - por eso viajo - para conocer y realizar, no solo para ver.

Movies - don't watch them as much as I used too but I love satiric comedy and well thought out drama - Monty Python & the Holy Grail is the main film that comes to mind.

Music - this list could go on forever, I am CONSTANTLY listening to music, I am that girl on the subway dancing with her headphones on. I like most electronic music - IDM, ambient, downtempo, trance, glitch, dubstep, etc. Also love anything with good female vocals, classic rock, salsa and 90s hip hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

God this is hard to conceptualize. SO MUCH!

I guess the first thing that comes to mind is paragliding in a tiny village in the Colombian Andes on watch for guerilla troops trying to invade the village.
