Overview
About Me
I am an artist who works in everything from pastry to floral design to the human canvas. I love nature, roller skating, pet husbandry, and obviously traveling. I am also a musician, currently playing in a surf band as well as a folk punk singer songwriter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever since staying with a host family in Japan, I have come to appreciate what a better understanding of a culture you get from hosting and staying with locals!
I would love to share my knowledge of baking and arts with anybody else who appreciate them, check out music scenes in other cities, go antiquing or thrifting, and go nature walking or city strolling!

Music, Movies, and Books
All time favorite musicians include The Clash, Nirvana, The Replacements, Andrew Jackson Jihad
My favorite books are tied between The Catcher in the Rye and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite travel experiences was interning at a Japanese bakery without speaking any language in common.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to share my knowledge of US and Japanese pastry arts and cake decorating with anybody who likes to bake (or eat!)
I would always be very happy to jam should instruments be available! (I play the drums, and have very poor skills at guitar/bass)
Some other random skills I would be happy to share include floral design, roller skating/derby, sewing, special effects makeup, and drawing/painting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share my experience in cooking and baking, (I had a ton of fun learning about tiny Japanese kitchens making my host family "American Style" strawberry shortcake!), swap tales of travel, and possibly share my keen eye for thrift shopping.
