I am a Finn that loves sauna and misses the sun approximately 7-8 months per year. To stay sane, paradoxically I go crazy during summer and enjoy all that Helsinki has to offer and sit in parks with my friends and a beer and never go to sleep. Otherwise I keep myself busy by studying social sciences, going to see live music (from classical to rap and from folk to dancing techno), skateboarding (badly), hitchhiking around Finland, doing yoga... Because of my studies I'm super interested in people's perceptions on different forms of societies and politics. But don't worry, I do not talk politics all the time :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling by myself a lot and figured out that it is the best way to challenge yourself and meet new people. You know, we Finns have a reputation of being a bit introvert and in some rare occasions I recognize this side of me. Nonetheless, I would describe myself being open and extremely interested in others' thoughts, ideas, stories and experiences. I live to learn and other people's minds are the best place to find new perspectives.
