Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This platform creates very enriching and unexpected meetings! What's better than discovering regions through local's insights when travelling ? Above this, I am always utterly pleased to be reminded that many truly kind and generous people populate our planet.

Interests

I've got so many! But I'd say that my main interest is to understand. As soon as I understand something or (even better) someone, I feel some satisfaction. Understanding ourselves and what surrounds us gives me expendables perspectives, as much for my personal life than my profession.
More specifically, I dedicated my professional life to science, which I tremendously enjoy. As soon as I am done with my daily lab work, I like to hang out with friends, challenge myself in a karate dojo, practice bouldering, enjoying good food (which I cooked, or not)...
My weekends are usually about hiking (I plan to climb the Mont Blanc with a group of friends next year, so we're training at the moment), travelling, relaxing in spas, watching TV-shows...

Music, Movies, and Books

When I was a child, my dad used to wake me up every weekend with Pink Floyd, Genesis, Santana, ACDC... I didn't have the choice ! That's how he transmitted to me the love of music haha. I listen to music almost all the time now. I don't restrict my interest to one type of music while I am still discovering many artists. However, I've to say that listening to live jazz jam session while sipping a glass of good French wine is one of my favorite hobby at the moment.
