ABOUT ME

Before you request to surf our couch, keep in mind that we are currently ONLY HOSTING TRAVELERS WITH CHILDREN!

I work part-time as a writer but my afternoons are usually free for showing visitors around. Also, I love to cook and am always happy to prepare home-cooked meals. At the same time, we love to have people cook for us so if you feel like preparing something from your home country (or anything else), please offer! Just let us know and I will try to get your ingredients beforehand. My husband is a research scientist and a photographer and if it's the weekend, he may be up for a night out. I am American and he is Colombian but we have lived all over the world including New York City, Chile, Japan and Switzerland.

We have a 4 year old son who is very sweet and sociable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far we've had a couple of surfers here in Madrid, both were good experiences. I surfed a couch in Bologna, Italy and my husband surfed one in Copenhagen. We are looking forward to more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Harold and Maude, Amelie, Lost in Translation, Rushmore. Books- we both love to read nonfiction as well as fiction. Favorites include Paul Bowles, Jane Austen, Jhumpa Lahiri, David Sedaris, Haruki Murakami. Pretty eclectic tastes for just about everything.
