I am a young guy from Finland. Been traveling all my life, and every time I leave my home, I take my camera with me. I get a lot of crazy ideas for trips and journeys. Sometimes I find myself in Tibet trying to cope with altitude sickness, or hitch-hiking in the middle of the night in the occupied West Bank. Travel is amazing if you just go and wing it. In the Western World, we have a tendency to underestimate human kindness. Smile - and you will be smiled back! This is what makes meeting people so amazing. With all our differences, we are nothing short of one.

PHILOSOPHY

I've read Plato's Republic from cover to cover. It was boring. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was much more interesting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my friend in the capital region of Finland. I have an air mattress ready to house a tired traveller or two. If I am present myself - that is. Just send a message and ask :)

I'm also a kickass bar guide in Helsinki if I happen to have a free weekend!
